THE WORLD TAEKWONDO FEDERATION
The World Taekwondo Federation is the leading body for Olympic Taekwondo. It differs in little and yet many ways from the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) and is considered to be the most popular of the two styles of Taekwondo.
The WTF heads all major decisions and holds all major Taekwondo competitions for international players.
The WTF was formed in 1973 and based itself in Korea. Ever since then it has made major advances for the Taekwondo world such as the official introduction of Taekwondo into the Olympic Games.


  WTF PRESIDENT: MR CHUNG WON CHOUE

Mr Chung Won Choe is the recent newly elected WTF President. He was elected on 11 June 2004 by a majority vote.

KUKKIWON
Kukkiwon is the headquarters for the powerful WTF. It was built in 1973 and is a highly advanced technichal centre where Taekwondo is developed.
Filled with various rooms it is an endless relic of what WTF Taekwondo stands for. Its small museum has contless articles from 1973 till present day including body armour and helmets from the Sydney Olympic Games. Click on the above photo for a link to the kukkiwon website.
